Hair Loss

Hair Restoration Protocol**

Hair loss is multifactorial and commonly involves one or more of the following:

  • Hormonal sensitivity (DHT-related miniaturization)

  • Telogen effluvium (stress, illness, trauma, postpartum)

  • Thyroid dysfunction

  • Nutritional deficiencies (especially ferritin, Vitamin D, zinc, B12)

  • Chronic inflammation

  • Aging-related follicle weakening

  • Reduced microcirculation

  • Genetics

Second Season’s protocol is a 3–6 month intensive plan combining:

🔹 Medical evaluation

🔹 Scalp treatments (RF microneedling + peptides)

🔹 Prescription or non-Rx topicals

🔹 Oral options (when appropriate)

🔹 Nutritional optimization

🔹 Home-care maintenance

Required Baseline Lab Panel

Labs should be done before starting the medical portion:

Hair Loss Evaluation Labs

  • Ferritin

  • CBC

  • TSH

  • Free T3

  • Free T4

  • Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies

  • Vitamin D

  • Vitamin B12

  • Zinc

  • CMP (optional)

  • DHEA-S (if hormonal thinning suspected)

Targets for Optimal Hair Growth

  • Ferritin > 70 ng/mL

  • Vitamin D 50–80 ng/mL

  • Normal thyroid with optimal T3/T4

Correcting these alone often triggers noticeable regrowth.
